Ken Snyder - Meade County, SD
The Snyder family has been ranching South of Sturgis, near Tilford, along the Eastern slope of the Black Hills since 1946. I began my agricultural career in the family business after obtaining a B.S. degree in Animal Science from South Dakota State University in 1984. I met my wife, Ronda, at SDSU and we married in 1985. We have three sons, two of which are the fourth generation to steward the family land. Snyder Cattle Company is primarily a cow-calf business. We also winter/summer stocker cattle, finish most of our steer calves in custom feed yards, market bred heifers and have a share cow enterprise.
